Research and Planning 'Magazine Cover Analysis'

                                                                                        I chose to analyse  these two and they work very well with the music I want to do about which is rock/ alternative rock.

The way you can tell about the genre is mainly the type of picture and the text. The way the words are and displayed make it look a little but hectic but still interesting. Also the mentioned bands and language used like 'Voltage' and 'Resurrection'.

The audience are probably ages from 16-22 probably I think this because of the bands quite young and usually rock and alternative is for like younger generations.
Also probably for the teenagers that stick out from the crowed maybe the 'different' people or individuals.

the lay out is rather organised with a couple of the images canted probably to make them look slightly disorganised or to draw your eye.
Also the magazines loosely follow the three colour rule except the fall out boy one has 4 colours but ones which are very close on the colour wheel.
Then the cover lines are used to draw in there target audience using band names and 'FREE' because they may interest the audience there aiming at.

Then they represent the main people on the front in different ways dark cloths slightly dark and mysterious seen as maybe a 'cool' character so you become interested in it.
The other is probably to see the character using an orange t shirt which is an eye catching colour soo it draws your attention.
