Research and Planning 'collage magazine cover and contents''

I believe the font sizes are correct mainly because the title is a lot larger than all the other texts. Also things like the the web address and issue number are also smaller than the head titles.

I think it follows the three colour rule but think I could have chose a better more outstanding colour for the background of the front cover, or maybe a better selling colour as I used red as it is best for marketing and yellow because its the most aggressive selling colour.

I believe you could link the title with the quote on the contents page and I think because the contents had the same type of writing as on the front page I think that also links the two and obviously the colours can link them.

The photographs are very appropriate but well taken I think the Photoshop has helped as I am not great with a camera.

I think there are enough headings as on my interviews with others they didn't complain about the headings and were appreciative of them so i believe there are enough and are appropriate.

These are my two drafts for my contents and magazine cover drawn and on the real version changed slightly. I eventually decided against the bar code although at the time I thought it was a good idea, on my design I thought id go for a simplistic minimalism.

1) Very appropriate.
2) Go well together as they are close.
3)Yeah, along as its what interests me and probably 20p-50p.
4)Yeah and there appropriate so yeah they work.
5)As long as they are things that you find interesting id say they work.

Analysis
1) Looking at my answers for question one, I think I made the right choice when it came to the masthead.
2) On question two I really wish I used different colours because although people said they suit I dont think they were correct for a target audience of students.
3) I think the third isnt really that easy to talk about but I am happy people say they would pay for my magazine.
4) Personally although people said there are enough I dont think there are in my opinion.
5) I cant really complain and I appriciate the imput of my fellow class mates.

I used the website dafont to search find and download fonts. Once I had the font I went to file and clicked on new to get a page. Then I found my fonts changed it to the colour i want and typed the title.

Research and Planning 'College Magazine Analysis'

I believe this magazine is a real college magazine mainly because of the masthead as it says 'College' as a title, also because of the publication line not all magazines have them especially not fake magazines.
There is also the bar code meaning it is being sold meaning it is a real publication because you could not sell a fake publication, also the person looks like a model aimed at the American college ages of 18-21. Finally i believe the headlines/cover lines tell you alot such as money, phones and the title 'thank god its Friday' because at the end of the week everyone gets a feeling of relief.

I have made this review by first copying and pasting the text from Empires review of Alice in Wonderland, I then saved the picture and carried it from the article onto my homepage. After that I went onto in design and by creating columns and moving the text using the small red arrow.

I followed the Photoshop challenge and produced this. I feel im starting to understand it more now as I start getting used to it.
for this I used text, background fill, picture editing and a box maker then mover a layer with an image over the top.

To make this Photoshopped picture i did many things.
I used a spot remover tool, duplicate background, and used a smart blur filter and a layer mask. Then I used the paint brush to change the look of the person.

I have now made a film poster mixing two images, batman's bane mixed with the mad hatter from Alice and wonderland. We used Photoshop to edit this image and used tools suck as cut and colour balance.

I start my blog today with a Photoshop image made in class learning how to cut images from one another and editing it all together, the tools I used were the main grabbing tool to move the objects around and organise them, colour balance to change the colour of the CD , magic wand and cut tool I also learn't to add things such as text uning the small T icon, I also learn't about layers and how to organise them together and make sure the image I want go on top.
